Welcome to Bee Lavish!
A designer maker of pretty petite porcelain & fine silver items, I am inspired by all the wonders around me where I live and work in beautiful Devon and have combined my skills to find something unique that I love to create. I handcraft porcelain and sometimes fine silver items such as petite elegant sea shells, teeny tiny forget-me-not flowers & rambling roses, each petal lovingly formed by hand. Natural porcelain is in itself truly beautiful but to add an extra exquisiteness it can be finished with real 22ct Gold, Mother of Pearl Lustre, Glazes and Luxurious Velvet effect finishes.
These petite treasures are then combined and hand wired with silver, or gold plated wire, into lavish accessories and jewellery for Weddings, Proms, Gifts, Special Events & Photo Shoots.

About Bee Lavish
Having loved working with clay in different forms since a young age, I have now created Bee Lavish to allow me to pull all my creative ideas together, to create luxurious and dainty items based on nature.
I love simple and elegant design and find these qualities reflected in the smooth white translucency and fineness of porcelain. For me porcelain creates very beautiful and serene timeless pieces. Having first worked with fine silver clay, I also sometimes incorporate fine silver and porcelain together.
Inspired by my surroundings, I often find myself working in harmony with the seasons. I create all my pieces individually, by hand. I can cast from some real treasures, such as seashells or feathers to emanate their fine textures, or they can be sculpted by hand. For delicate flowers I prefer to gently shape them, and for roses I prefer to make each petal by hand and combine them to make a whole flower.
Porcelain and fine silver are similar working processes; both are a labour of love to create my bespoke pieces, then they are dried, smooth, sand and kiln fire my items. My porcelain pieces are high fired at 1260 degrees to achieve a beautiful white mat finish, whereas fine silver is fired at 650 degrees, and then hand burnished and polished. Each individual item is wired on to hair accessories and hand made silver plated hair pins, or I make them into items of unique jewellery in either material or a combination of the two.
Having a love of bees and flowers I wanted both the design of the website and the business name to reflect this. I consider the items I make to be luxurious and lavish...hence the name Bee Lavish was found and has a double meaning...so please look around and don't be afraid to spoil yourself and Bee Lavish!
I have made a collection of handcrafted items, though the beauty of being entirely made by hand means these will always be individual and unique!
So, if I have already made something you love I can re create it for you, or we can tailor it so it's perfect for your special occasion or event.
